Circus Circus / Reno

2015 Review of the Circus Circus / Reno

The Circus Circus towers — all 3 of them — are the easiest landmark to find in Reno. There are over 1,500 rooms & suites in them and rates start at a very reasonable $35. If you’re on a mid to high floor, the view out your window of the mountains, the river or whole town, is going to be photo-worthy. And while dogs aren’t permitted in the guestrooms, there is the Hound Hotel, a group of kennels for $10 ($15/Sat. & Sun.) a day per dog, which are indoor and climate controlled. You can check on your dog by surveillance camera from your room.

Owned by MGM Resorts, the Circus Circus Casino has games of blackjack, craps, roulette, 3-Card Poker, Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker, Fortune Pai Gow Poker Progressive, Mississippi Stud Poker, Big Six. And be sure that complimentary cocktail service is in force on the casino floor. If you are a slot player, there’s 910. You can enjoy the old-fashioned coin-only machines in one area. They take in and pay out their jackpots in coins, for that great clinking when jackpots come down. Newer slots include Family Guy, Buffalo, Sex and the City, CATS, The Dark Knight.

Even if Circus Circus is known for being family-friendly, its casino has what serious gamers want, exciting gambling. The MGM Resorts International sports betting allows single bets up to $50,000, for instance. And Circus’ Race book includes horse race wagering and bets on most major sports events with 50 big screens placed in casino areas, to watch the action.

Not only families but everyone would like the world-class Circus show, with famous acrobats, jugglers, animal acts and more. Currently the Imperial Acrobats from China are performing, and so is J.R. Johns who performs with his 23 trained dogs, all rescue animals; there are several other great acts as well. The Midway offers a carnival with skill games, luck games and arcade gaming. The Cabaret offers musical shows for free.

Other features include five retail shops, business center services for guests. You can stay fit in the Fitness Center which is open 24/7; rent a mobility scooter for those who would find it impossible or difficult to walk the property. If you’re planning a vacation you can check their hotel packages, which include ski packages, air & hotel, and other discounts.

One review on “Circus Circus / Reno

The Circus Circus Hotel is a great place to stay. I have stayed there with my family. We have always been satisfied with the roooms and the service over the years. I have noticed that during the summer or when children are out of school there a lot of them running around having fun. I guess the need a break too.

We hope you enjoyed the review. If you have comments, you can let us know.
